Parking & Staff Car Park

As you know the parking available outside the school is owned by the Council and we have no jurisdiction over how many parking spaces are available or who is entitled to part there.
Our concern is only with the safety of the children and access to the school building for the emergency services, staff and school coach.

The staff car park is only for staff and authorised visitors. Parents should not be using the car park to pick up or collect children without prior agreement.
Pupils Privacy Notice here

The personal data collected is essential, for the school to fulfil their official functions and meet legal requirements.
We collect and use pupil information, for the following purposes:
- to support pupil learning
- to monitor and report on pupil attainment progress
- to provide appropriate pastoral care
- to assess the quality of our services
- to keep children safe (food allergies, or emergency contact details)
- to meet the statutory duties placed upon us by the Department for Education

Eligibility for Free School Meals

Not to be confused with the government funded free lunch for KS1 pupils, any family in receipt of certain income related benefits will be entitled to a free school meal whether in KS1 or KS2.
If you are eligible, please apply even if your child is in KS1 so that your child's school gets access to Pupil Premium funds. At present parents are also receiving supermarket vouchers to help feed their children during the school holidays.
Taking time out during term time

If you wish to take your child out of school during term time, please contact the office so that a form can be sent via ParentMail for you to complete. Holidays during term time are not able to be authorised by the school but it is useful for planning purposes to know when your child may not be in school so please still submit a form. Please find below guidance from South Gloucestershire Council regarding penalty notices for absences over 10 sessions (equivalent to 5 days) within 10 school weeks.
